Quiet puzzles that explain themselves

Want something you can finish? Sudoku has a single verified solution and six difficulty tiers, from a clean run of naked singles to chains that need colouring.
Want something you play until it ends? 2048 runs on a 4×4, 5×5 or 6×6 board; the daily run pins the tile order to the date so scores can be compared.

Every Sudoku published here is tested by an exact solver and released only when the solution count is exactly one.
Do hints reveal the answer?
Not immediately. A Sudoku hint begins with a direction, then names and explains the technique. Filling the digit is a separate final choice.
Is my progress saved if I close the tab?
Yes. The current puzzle or run, including its board, score and undo history, is restored on your own device when you come back.
Can two players compare 2048 scores fairly?
In the daily run, yes. The tile order comes from the date, so the same moves produce the same board for everyone, and undo is switched off.
